About Queen Arsinoë II

Arsinoë II was not just a queen; she was a living embodiment of the goddess Isis, revered as the divine protector and nurturer in both Egyptian and Greek traditions around 318–270 BCE. Through her first and second marriages to Lysimachus and Ptolemy II Philadelphus, she united Greek and Egyptian cultures, symbolizing the harmonious blend of two powerful civilizations. Setting the unique cultural foundation of the Ptolemy dynasty in ancient Alexandria, the ancient center of wisdom and knowledge, forming one of the most prosperous periods in ancient Egypt.  

Known as the "Image of Isis" and called the daughter of the earth god Geb, Arsinoë was often portrayed wearing the mantle of Isis, queenly and divine, at temples such as Philae. She carried many sacred titles that linked her to goddesses like Isis and Hathor, embodying fertility, protection, and regeneration.
